Sumner Regional Medical Center

Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC), the flagship hospital of Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc., started in 1959 as Sumner County Memorial Hospital. In 1994 SRMC became a private, not-for-profit healthcare facility.

In the early days the hospital had only 50 employees and seven physicians on staff. The hospital has experienced tremendous growth over the years and now has more than 1,000 employees and 150 physicians.

SRMC is proud to be one of the largest non-government employers in Sumner County, and provides quality care in cancer treatment, cardiac care, same day surgery, orthopedics, diagnostics, women’s health, rehabilitation services and much more.

Under the leadership of President and CEO William Sugg and the senior management team, SRMC continues to grow in its services and staff to meet the healthcare needs of its community.
